About Me
My name is C. E. Hooper, and I love to create.
I've always been an artist at heart (and a kid at heart, as well). Not a moment goes by that
I'm not drawing, sketching, designing, building something or thinking of and studying new
ways and techniques with which to create. I love the beautiful and the bizarre. My tastes are
very broad and I have an affinity for both the old and the new. Some of my influences are
Leonardo Da Vinci, Gustav Dore, H. R. Giger, Jack Kirby, Alex Ross, Paul Rand, Floro Dery,
Mark "Crash" McCreery, The Brothers Hildebrandt, Salvador Dali and A.M. Cassandre. I am
comfortable with the innovative and experimental, but I'm not afraid to draw from the tried
and true traditional roots of art and design.
Professionally, I'm laid back, but still all business, as I take my art and design very seriously.
I have a knack at understanding what a client wants in a design, and a versatility to suit any
style, function or need in a project. I love going the extra mile to impress, and I'm not afraid
to take on large, detailed or complex projects. I'm a self-starter who likes to be prepared
ahead of time. As such, I do well on solo projects, but have no problem at all fitting into a team.
My communication skills and friendly nature assist me in being a very productive member of
any group. My people skills were honed in my previous roles as job supervisor (where I learned
many management skills, as well) and as a customer service representative. I can't emphasize
enough how important communication and a positive attitude are in producing successful
outcomes, interpersonally and professionally.
